General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Salt Lake County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs restoration work
Bluffdale Water Damage Restoration receives calls and online requests for water damage service and dispatches each one. It does not extract water, dry structures or perform repairs itself. An independent local restoration company (the "partner") does that work, normally the closest crew free at that hour, and that company alone is accountable for its assessment, pricing, equipment and workmanship.
No Utah license classification applies specifically to water extraction, drying or moisture monitoring. Repair and reconstruction after drying, including drywall, flooring, cabinets and framing, is performed under the partner's contractor license issued by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL). Individual technicians may hold certifications from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), a non-government industry body. Bluffdale Water Damage Restoration and this website hold no DOPL license or IICRC certification and claim neither.
Customers may obtain the partner's DOPL license number and its technicians' IICRC certification details on request, by phoning (650) 587-4092 at any hour or by asking when the partner phones ahead of the visit. To keep the partner's business information private, these details do not appear on this website. Any license number given can be checked against DOPL records before repair work begins.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Utah is regulated by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL). The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
